C. DATA & RELATED FILE OVERVIEW
----------------------------------------------------------------

1. File List for the Cascade_Gateway_Advanced_Border_Information_System_DATASET.zip collection

   A. Filename: 1- Current State Assessment & Existing Technology Review Report

Short description: This document, prepared as part of the Cascade Gateway ABIS Design Project, is divided into two parts:
the Current State Assessment (including the existing ATIS and Cascade Gateway Border Data Warehouse), including a summary of the user needs that have been preliminarily collected to date; and an overview of existing Border Wait Time (BWT) measurement technologies deployed along the U.S. Canada and U.S. Mexico borders.

   B. Filename: 2 - Concept Exploration & Recommendations Report

Short description: This report expands on technology options available as well as feasible hybrid technology concepts that meet the user needs of the stakeholders.

   C. Filename: 3 - Concept of Operations

Short description: This report serves as the Concept of Operations (ConOps) document that conceptualizes the ABIS system and serves as the foundation for the development of the final ABIS.

   D. Filename: 4 - Benefit Cost Analysis Technical Memo

Short description: The benefit-cost analysis (BCA) was conducted for the project using best practices for transportation planning and reflecting the US DOT 2024 benefit-cost analysis guidance.

   E. Filename: 5 - Project Implementation Report

        Short description: This Implementation Report provides a summary of the project, an overview of the Stage 1 activities and accomplishments; an assessment of the goals, objectives, and expectations met; performance data and results, a benefit-cost assessment; requirements for at-scale implementation (including operations and maintenance);
lessons learned; and recommendations.

   F. Filename: 6 - High Level Design

Short description: This High-Level Design (HLD) document serves as a critical bridge between the conceptual understanding of the system and its detailed implementation. A high-level design sets the foundation and overall structure of the implementation phase of the project.

   F. Filename: 7 - Data Management Plan

Short description: As part of the requirements for the SMART Stage I project, a Data Management Plan was developed using the online Data Management Plan tool. This is a printed version of that DMP.

D. METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION
----------------------------------------------------------------

1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data:
Outreach, interviews, field surveys, technology spec comparisons, interviews with vendors as to technology capabilities, reviews with stakeholders, analysis of existing data.

2. Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data:
Files in this zip are preserved in the .PDF format. The Portable Document Format (PDF) file format was developed by Adobe Systems and represents two-dimensional documents in a device-independent and resolution-independent format. There are PDF readers available on many platforms, such as Xpdf, Foxit, and Adobe's own Adobe Acrobat Reader. PDF readers/viewers or online services for basic functions are generally free (for more information on .pdf files and software, please visit https://www.file-extensions.org/pdf-file-extension).
